Catching Up: Graduation!

One of the biggest events to tell about:  Craig Graduated!  I am so proud of him.  It is never easy to stick it out and finish school and there were definitely moments of major frustration, but he did it anyway and ended on a high note getting on the honor roll the last few semesters.  Way to go, honey!

The best part of the ceremonies was Commencement.  Here you can see Craig walking in to take his seat or you could if I had a better zoom on my camera.  He is the first one after the kid holding the banner.

President Monson spoke at the Commencement ceremony.  He challenged all the graduates to gain the abundant life.  He said this could be accomplished by following the ABCs:

A = Attitude - Choose to be happy about your circumstances whatever they may be, the work is the same.  Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
B = Belief - in yourself, those around you, and in true principles.  Don't ask yourself "What will people think of me?" but ask "What will I think of myself?".  Be honest with God.  Believe in yourself then live to reach your possibilities.  You can achieve what you believe you can.
C = Courage - Determination to live decently.  You may feel like David trying to defeat Goliath, but remember, David did win!  If you fail along the line you may lose your confidence, but continue in the thing you cannot do.  Courage is often the little voice at night before you go to bed that says, "Try again tomorrow."

It is always great to hear from a prophet and it was a great way to celebrate the day and Craig's awesome accomplishment!
