The BIG Three - O!!!

My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, right before Thanksgiving.  I turned the big 3-0!  When I was little, there was a show on TV called "Thirty Something".  I never saw the show itself but often saw the commercials.  I remember thinking how grown up and boring the show seemed and somehow thirty to me became the age when you are truly grown up.  I've kind of looked at it as a deadline for doing all the fun young things in life.  As thirty drew closer, I've obviously outgrown the idea that everything fun has to be done before thirty but it has still seemed like a big milestone, especially when I was single.  I haven't done everything I wanted to before I turned thirty, but I am happy with where I am at.

My birthday was really nice.  Craig surprised me at work with flowers and took me to lunch.  I have often seen women at work who get flowers for their birthday and thought how fun it would be if it were.  Kind of a silly wish really, but I was excited anyway.  My sister stopped by work and gave me the scarf you see in the picture.  My dad and brother stopped by work to say hi, too.  It is amazing that I got any work done that day.  After work, we went to Biaggi's with my parents for dinner and opened presents.  Craig and my parents spoiled me with fantastic presents.  It was really a great day.  I felt very happy and loved.  I don't think you can ask for anything better than that.
